Choice without choice
Many people hesitate at a crossroads in life: "What should I choose?" I can conclude from my own experience: no matter what you choose, there will not be much difference. Those who have previously shown high results will continue in the same spirit, just as the indicators of those who have previously failed to cope with their responsibilities will remain the same.

You may have doubts, but you have no choice but to rely on subjective feelings and intuition that tell you what you would like to do.

Doubters are likely to depend on the external environment, thinking that it will change them, influence them somehow, miraculously push them to do something. For example, they are convinced that someone will help them with something: if they get a job at a large company, they will be assigned some big project and they will be able to stand out or become the main one in a venture firm.
