Nicole Adelaars – Girl-Stubborn: 'You get down to business quickly'
Nicole Adelaars blogs for both marketplaces with her blog Meisje-Eigenwijsje and has a domain authority of 37, with 19,000 visitors per month on her blog, 5,500 on Instagram and 2,300 on Facebook. With one exception, she never gets criticism on her sponsored blogs. Nicole: 'But I always write these kinds of articles from myself, from my own experience.'
What she particularly likes about these types of marketplaces: 'You see the assignment and can immediately decide whether it suits you or not. And you get down to business quickly. Outside of LinkPizza and Hulc, negotiations sometimes take days and you still don't reach an agreement in the end.' She finds it a downside that advertisers or agencies do not always allow an affiliate link. This is because, according to the client, you already receive compensation for writing the article. Nicole: 'But that is also clearly stated in the conditions in advance, so you know that when you enter into negotiations. In any case, I find LinkPizza clearer in that respect than Hulc.'
At Hulc, Nicole pitched for 45 assignments in six months. She only got three of them – 'that's possible, I'm certainly not the cheapest' – but there are still 16 open, which are not being used. Nicole: 'Then I put a lot of energy into explaining why I think we would be a good match and what I can do for them and then I hear nothing. I can't reject them anymore, because I've made my offer. So they just keep being open. Very annoying.'
'My explanation is that the clients on Hulc are mainly there for link building, and want to sit in the front row for a dime. I'm not the only one who thinks that, but we think that with a larger group of bloggers. At LinkPizza, advertisers see much more value in what I have to offer as an influencer.' Nicole has one more tip for bloggers: sign up for LinkPizza or Hulc via another blogger. That way you help each other. As bloggers, we're all in the same boat.'
Linda van Aken – Mamaliefde: 'If you've just started, marketplaces are ideal'
Linda van Aken of Mamaliefde (350,000 visitors per germany telegram data month to her site, with a domain authority of 40) has written for both marketplaces. 'When you register, you often work with ten bloggers on the same assignment and the earnings are slightly less than when you are invited to a campaign via LinkPizza. Then you don't have to pitch anymore.'
Linda earns around 5,000 euros a month with her blogs, half of which comes from affiliate income. She has more than 3,000 blogs online. She also collaborates a lot with other bloggers. She doesn't do anything with Hulc. Linda: 'That's mainly about including a link in a blog as cheaply as possible. Tenners' work. Quality or number of visitors doesn't matter, as long as it's cheap. But I think that if you've just started blogging, marketplaces like Hulc and LinkPizza are ideal.'
Raymond Vink – Effect-Internet-Services: 'It's fun for a beer on Friday'
Raymond Vink of Wat-betekent.nl (35,000 visitors and a DA of 33) is registered with both marketplaces, but only uses Hulc. 'I mainly make blogs in which I explain something. I do that in the form of an advertorial with paid links. For example, explaining a company name or a product name. But it could also be the operation of a physical product or an internet service. I don't have a special target group.
