When running your own business, you have certainly encountered many different opinions about your services – both positive and negative. When running a business, we must always take into account that customers may or may not be satisfied with the services or products we offer. Of course, when receiving feedback in the form of constructive criticism, it is worth accepting negative comments and drawing conclusions based on them. But what if, for example, our competition is consciously trying to negatively influence the opinion about our company? Or in an illegal and unethical way wants to influence our website and its visibility in the Google search engine? And here depositioning may stand in our way – an activity that we will discuss in today's episode of the SEO Podcast.

What is depositioning?

De-positioning is a term that refers to the deliberate lowering of the search engine ranking results for a specific website. This process can be done in two ways. The first is the deliberate linking of a given website from spam sources, which lowers the quality of the existing positioning link profile, and as a result, the website's position is lowered or, in the worst case, completely removed from the Google search engine index.
