In order to achieve a good ranking on Google, user signals are important. The question is not whether user signals influence the positioning in the search engine, but rather how they can be measured and what exactly is measured. We show here which factors play a role in the search experience:

Short Click
When a user clicks on a web page displayed in the search results and immediately returns to the search results page, this is called a short click. The user then either refines his/her input in the search field or clicks on another page that is displayed in the results. A clear sign that the user apparently did not find what he/she was looking for on this page.

Long Click
Long click is the exact opposite of short click. In this case, the user does jordan mobile numbers list not return to the search results page. This is a very important feature for Google, as they can assume that the user was successful in their search, that the content of the page is of high quality and that the search query was therefore satisfactory.

click-through rate (CTR)
In the area of organic search results, the click-through rate (CTR) represents the percentage of clicks on a search result divided by the number of times the search result is displayed (impression). For example, a search result always has an impression when it is displayed in the search results using a search term entered by the user. If the user clicks on your search result, this increases the click rate.

As an example calculation, we assume that a search result is clicked on exactly 32 times out of 1,000 impressions. This corresponds to a click-through rate of 3.2 percent.
