What is eye-tracking technology and where is it used? There is quite a bit of information on this topic, so we decided to fix that.

"oculography", but the term has not caught on. Eye-tracking is a technology for tracking the position of the eyes, also called the technology for tracking lines of sight or points of sight. This technology is relatively new and has not yet received proper distribution in Ukraine, although in recent years the situation has been changing for the better.

How it works
Eye tracking devices, or eye trackers, typically consist of hardware norway number data that connects to a computer (laptop, tablet) and software, although there are also self-contained, all-in-one devices.

The eye tracker has a built-in infrared backlight;
The backlight is reflected in the user's eyes;
The eyetracker camera captures these reflections;
Through filtering and mathematical calculations, the device determines the position of the gaze.
At the same time, there are 2 types of eye tracking systems.

systems based on the bright pupil method;
systems based on the dark pupil method.
Their difference lies in the location of the infrared illumination source relative to the main camera. If the infrared emitters are located parallel to the optical axis of the camera, the eye acts as a secondary reflector of light coming from the illumination and reflected from the retina, creating the effect of a bright pupil. If the illumination source is offset relative to the optical axis of the camera, the pupil becomes black, since the secondary reflection from the retina does not enter the camera.
