Targeted attacks

Post by rakhirhif8963 »

The attack was made possible by the publication of the US NSA exploit (cyberweapon) Eternal Blue, and here's the problem - no one knows how much of this kind of stuff the NSA and similar organizations in other countries have and how much will still break through into peaceful space.

Botnets with a load of bitcoin mining and even more severe ones have begun to gain strength - now crypto farms are occasionally discovered in the data centers of large companies. Theft of electricity and jamaica mobile database space has become a new threat to corporations, and they have not yet figured out what to do with it and whether it is worth doing anything at all - the damage in money is insignificant. On the other hand, where there is a crypto farm, there you can put a botnet control center, and in six months the data center will be stormed by riot police as part of an investigation into attacks carried out by the botnet.

The main public victims of targeted attacks in Russia in 2017 were Bitcoin magnates. Based on estimates of the total global damage of $ 500-700 million and the share of Russians at 10-20%, the damage to the Russian crypto industry was about $80 million (more than 6 billion rubles). However, the size of the global crypto industry, according to various estimates, reached $500 billion, which means the relative damage was only 0.1%, which is unlikely to significantly affect the business model of crypto companies.
