Frustration and despair are the result

The first draft is always crap
The first draft – no matter what – is always modest.

There are composers who had the reputation of having their music “in their head” and putting it on paper flawlessly in just one attempt.

Until they found the manuscripts on which they had changed, crossed out and corrected something a hundred times.

When we read books, we have the cambodia telegram screening same impression – as if the book was written in one go.

But a good book is the process of an almost endless editing loop: writing, collecting feedback, rewriting.

Perfectionism is the desire to write a brilliant and perfect first draft immediately. Since that is not possible, you try to square the circle and fail.

The solution?

All great authors are good editors. They edit, correct and change until they drop. They have come to terms with the fact that the first draft is always crap.

But never the end result.
