You know that the guards are not allowed to move.

Post by jrineakter »

Normally, they are motionless. And in fact, there was a very nice guard. So, Tom stood in front to take pictures, Raphael too. And Raphael, I said to him: "Raphael, say thank you". So, Raphael, he stood in front of the guard and he said "thank you" and he made a sign with his hand. And the guard, very discreetly, where his hand was hanging in the air, he made a little sign with his hand. So, Raphael was very very happy. And it was also very nice, really very nice.

So, the changing of the guard with the horses was great. And we also walked around the parks quite a bit, especially St James's Park, which is splendid. I remembered going there in 2012, with... in 2010, with Céline. It was really cool. And there, we all went together and we really loved it.

Weather-wise, well, it was July, but we had a day and a half of rain. When we arrived, it was raining, and then we had nice weather, nice sunshine. So that was really cool, and it was a success, really.

I love this city, the kids loved it too, the atmosphere, etc. They'll remember it all their lives. That's for sure. And I also particularly appreciated the friendliness of the people in fact. Really, whether they were locals, people living there, or tourists or people who worked there, I mean the police officers...

So, I know it's very well known, it's very typical, but the police officers inform tourists in a very friendly way. Raphael asked if he could touch a horse? Well, not a guards' horse, but a police horse, there were police officers on a horse. Raphael asked: "Can I touch?" So, we asked, he said: "Yes, sure". So, Raphael touched the horse. I found them really always ready to help.

In transport too, as soon as we were a bit lost, well... or even not lost, in fact, we took our time, we looked at the signs, but as soon as we stopped, someone was there to help us. I had a lot of things to carry when we left, because we had Raphaël's stroller plus the suitcases, several people offered to help us. When we got on a italy whatsapp number data metro, people gave us space so that we could all sit together, as a family, with the children. Finally, I really found the attitude of all Londoners extraordinary, calm, composed, and we loved it. So, thank you very much, guys.

As they say in French, there is an adage, a sort of quote, they say: "Travel broadens youth". Well, it's not entirely clear, we don't yet know who said that. This phrase is more or less attributed to the French Renaissance philosopher and writer Michel de Montaigne, but it seems that it is mainly in fact... he mainly... in his major book The Essays, he mainly spoke precisely about the fact that travel opens the mind, etc. but he would not have said exactly this phrase, "travel broadens youth". However, it is attributed to him. And it doesn't really matter who it is from, I find this phrase brilliant, because children will indeed have a greater open-mindedness at all levels by having had the chance to take this trip, and many others besides.

So, that's what I wanted to tell you today. Thank you for being here. Next week, we're going to talk about a personal development topic that was inspired by a friend who is a coach, so I hope you'll like it. In the meantime, if you haven't already, you can take the free Authentic French course by visiting . There's a link in the description. And even if you've already taken this course, I invite you to do it again because we've updated it and it's simply much better done than before.
