Facebook ratings in the past

This is not the first time that Facebook has worked with ratings. In November 2011, there was quite a stir when Facebook decided to no longer make a specific 'page rating app' available. People thought it was a big mistake that Facebook seemed to step out of the ratings. The social networking site then indicated that the functionality would be replaced by Facebook Places. But taiwan telegram data Facebook Places does not offer the possibility to give a score to places. And that seems to change with this widget.

Potential of Facebook ratings
That ratings are important for an organization is well known, but the combination with the social network of Facebook provides an extra dimension: with this functionality you can, for example, gain insight into how your friends rate a certain restaurant. With this extra information it also becomes easier to determine how much value you should attach to a rating: when multiple 5-star ratings are placed by almost empty Facebook accounts, I would personally attach less value to that than that one rating that is placed by someone from my network. And then we haven't even discussed the possibilities for advertisers.

Whether, how and when the ratings will be rolled out further is unknown, but it is a development that I will be keeping a close eye on in the coming period! What do you think of this potential new functionality?
