The spread of dengue fever also reveals a worrying new pattern: the disease is spreading more quickly and reaching previously unaffected regions. In 2024, the peaks of the epidemic began in February, earlier than the usual period of April. In addition, there was a tendency for the disease to spread to the interior, affecting not only metropolitan regions, but also smaller cities with less access to health services, which aggravates the situation.
