Let me start by saying that the benefits of podcasting are long-term rather than short-term. If you’re going into podcasting hoping to quickly increase your sales, think again. Most people who have tried it have been disappointed.

Being featured on a lot of podcasts and getting your brand mentioned where your audience is listening helps build brand recognition. It’s a way to grow your own audience and expand your reach, which should translate into increased sales down the road.

You can reach a similar-sized audience to a conference in a much shorter time frame. Going to a conference costs time and money – traveling to the conference, spending a day or more there, buying conference tickets, booking hotels, etc. In contrast, being a guest on a podcast can be done from your living room or office.

Additionally, podcasts give you a much better henan cell phone number list opportunity to talk about what your business does and why. This is a question you’ll get asked a lot, most of the time right off the bat.

Podcasts also tend to be a more personal discussion and are therefore better able to build more personal relationships with your audience at scale.

Finally, being a guest on podcasts positions you as an industry expert. This builds credibility for your brand.

How to approach podcasts
While some podcasts have forms directly on their site, we've found that emailing directly is a better option. It connects you with a real person you can engage with more than a form, and in most cases, you're sort of pre-approved before you fill out the form.

Conveniently, each podcast has an RSS feed with an associated email address.
