What you should know about the new Google algorithm update

Google released its latest algorithm update in early May 2020. Following the January 2020 update, this is only the second algorithm update this year and the first since the COVID-19 crisis.

The biggest fluctuations in traffic from Google after the update were seen in the travel, real estate, health products, pets, people and society, and cooking recipes categories. This applies to both desktop and mobile searches. The changes also affected large and frequently visited domains, such as Spotify.com or LinkedIn.com. On the other hand, the sports and news sectors were least affected by the update.
