To put one brick on top of the next, if you create a blog, you have to give it your all in every post. Creating content that lasts forever is a challenge. In the end, what really matters is being on the path to improving with each new post.

There are people who say that they don't care whether anyone reads their blog or not. I confess that I am not part of that group. Positive feedback from readers is a very important source of motivation for me every day to create a post that adds value. Criticism is equally important because it reminds you that you can always improve and you should never settle for the status quo.

When you write posts consistently, you create an ever-growing content base for the readers who come to your blog. Curiously, there is no direct relationship between the number of posts published and the journalist email addresses number of visits. Otherwise, each new article would help you accumulate new visits.

Why there is no direct relationship between number of posts and visits

There are several reasons why most bloggers fail to significantly increase their traffic with higher post volume:

Poor SEO positioning : you should write for people, not machines. Still, it doesn't hurt to have a knowledge of the relevant keywords for your topic so you can use them when appropriate. Many posts stop receiving visitors as soon as they disappear from the first page of the blog.
Lack of internal links : Although it doesn't count as a new visit, it makes sense to keep the reader on the site longer so that they read more posts. Both internal linking and dwell time are relevant factors for SEO.
Posts that lose relevance : Many bloggers accumulate current posts about recent events that may peak for a few days but then no longer interest anyone else.
8 key factors for creating content that will be relevant tomorrow

In the course I took with Javier from Logocomunica, I learned a quote from actor Will Smith through his presentation. In short, it says that to build a wall you have to focus solely on making sure that each brick you put down is perfectly placed. When you create a blog, it's very similar. Don't worry about how to be successful and whether or not someone will come along. Your biggest concern should be the post you're writing at that moment. If you do it right, then you'll create content that will last for eternity.
