MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) continue to gain ground as a training mechanism: it is estimated that in March 2016 there were 4,180 active courses from around 550 universities worldwide on various platforms, 72.2% more than in the same month in 2015. However, in Europe, the creation of MOOCs appears to be losing ground. In November 2015, 1,705 MOOCs from various academic institutions were available in the European Union, of which 481 were from whatsapp number list Spanish institutions (12 fewer than in September of the same year).

From a demand perspective , the number of people signing up to take a MOOC is constantly growing. In 2015, there were an estimated 35 million people worldwide , up from 16-18 million in 2014. The four largest platforms by student enrollment are Coursera (with nearly half of the total), edX, FutureLearn, and Udacity.

The current trend these platforms are following in an attempt to monetize MOOCs is the creation of paid certifications and the interest this type of training generates in companies as a means of improving their employees' skills. Forty-four percent of companies are interested in creating their own MOOCs and reviewing external MOOCs, 31% in creating their own MOOCs, and 22% in reviewing MOOCs from other providers that might be of interest to their employees.

The eHealth market in Spain is estimated to have reached $124 million in 2016 , with a growing emphasis on mHealth or mobile health. The most well-known eHealth service among Spaniards is electronic prescriptions. The report also highlights the foreseeable impact of cloud computing on the healthcare sector, as nearly 74% of the Autonomous Communities plan to undertake this type of project. In terms of global volume, the global digital healthcare sector is estimated to reach $233.3 billion in 2020 , with a 36% growth in mHealth during the 2013-2020 period and a growing role for the Asia-Pacific region.
