Motivation

It is nothing more than a form of meditation aimed at increasing our capacity for attention (that is, to concentrate on something) and meta-attention (to be attentive to being concentrated). In particular, the meta-attention that we train through meditation is the ability to realize whether or not we are concentrated on what we should concentrate on.
Simply realizing that we are distracted puts us back in search of the concentration we had.

To learn to govern our emotions and feelings, we just need to focus our attention on our breathing. According to neuroscience, in fact, a few seconds of calm are enough to
regain control of ourselves.

Motivation
