Neither an urban tribe nor a social club. Far removed from any glamour, those considered “ninis” in Spain are young people between 16 and 30 years old who are currently neither studying nor working. But in this matter, nuances count a lot. These young people are often labelled as young people who do not want to study or work even at the risk of being simplistic and unfair. And the fact is that many of them do not show a lack of motivation but in a context of global crisis, the lack of opportunities makes this group one of the most affected.
