A little clarification before we begin. The concept of plugin is not at all exclusive to WordPress. In reality, to plug in means "to connect" in English. A plugin actually refers to software developed with the aim of adding features to another software.

In French, we sometimes speak of an "extension module" or "plug-in". By definition, a plugin does not work alone, and is often developed by developers who were not the originators of the basic software. c level contact list

Please note: it is important to understand that the software to which you want to add a plugin must have been designed for it. You cannot add features to all software.Extensions are used to extend the functionality of the software by adding new features. These new features can be of several types:

SEO optimization of articles and pages
Image optimization
Social media sharing buttons
Contact forms
Dynamic banners
Overall, if there is a feature you want to add to your site, there is definitely a plugin to do it! Plugins are therefore an incredible strength for WordPress, since the CMS can adapt to virtually all future developments of the web. And everything that will not be implemented directly in WordPress can be done using plugins.
