Frankwatching has reached a special milestone: we have moved! And it is not just any move, we are now part of the Jaarbeurs Innovation Mile (JIM) in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The move is the next step for Frankwatching, which did not even have its own office until a year and a half ago. Discover how this one-man blog has grown into an immense community, how Frankwatching has emerged as the best trainer in the Netherlands and what the move to JIM means for us.
Update: in March 2020 we moved again, you can now find us at Atoomweg 1 in Utrecht .
From alone at the kitchen table to a team of 25+
At Frank Janssen's kitchen table, that's where it all started in 2004. The founder of Frankwatching never dared to dream that his blog would become a household name in the Dutch online media landscape. Or that he would now lead a team of more than 25 people. Because Frankwatching is no longer a solo project. Over the years, Frank gathered the best people around him to turn the one-man blog into the largest Dutch community in the field of online.
But how do you actually do that, become one of the biggest? “I certainly could never have done it alone,” says Frank, who has nothing but praise for his bridge builders. “Together we albania telegram number list are continuously sharing knowledge and connecting people. I think that is our strength. We are also genuinely interested in what the community thinks of us. I often say that we tell the first part of the story, part 2 is written in the reactions on the site and social media. We love that engagement of our readers and followers.”

Innovation also flows through Frankwatching's veins. By quickly responding to new developments, such as RSS feeds, Google search and social media, the blog has grown steadily over the years. But no matter what decision was made, one thing was always central: the story. Frank: "We want to tell that in the most pure way possible. That's why we don't do ghostwriting, for example. Because our platform is completely free, it's a challenge for us to offer as many beautiful products as possible at low cost. That requires creativity."
From blog to community
20160408-emerce-100-295x400Frankwatching is best known for its many articles and research on marketing, communication, social media and tech. With 400,000 followers on social channels and almost as many unique visitors per month, we reach the vast majority of online professionals, from influencers to decision makers, with this content, which is created by approximately 600 authors.
Trainings
Thousands of them also follow one or more of our training courses and/or webinars every year. This year, we have been named the best trainer in the Netherlands for the second time in a row (source: Emerce 100 ). A great achievement for a company that entered the training market as an outsider in 2009. “We are not a traditional training institute, we did it our way. Our training offer was different from that of other parties. We have given new impulses to that market, which has also caused them to adjust their offer. I am proud of that,” says Maaike Vissink, Manager Trainings & Events.
New: short courses
With the short courses, Frankwatching is once again taking a new path. In a maximum of 7 days, you can be trained as an online marketer, content marketer or online communication expert. Maaike: “We noticed that there are different learning needs. Some want depth and are prepared to invest time in a course. Others opt for instant learning and prefer to follow an online training of 1 hour. And that is of course also possible with us.”
