Where hardly any websites are launched in the Netherlands that are not responsive (or at least have a mobile alternative), there was little to hear about this in the cases discussed. Many American museums in particular do not seem to have taken that step yet, while Dutch and also British museums are rapidly embracing responsive. A good example of a new responsive site is that of the Royal Academy of Arts .

Ready-made apps
Was there no attention for mobile at all? Certainly, but then from the bangladesh mobile phone number list angle of sponsors and exhibitors who offer their 'easy-to-use platforms of the future'. Providers such as STQRY , TAP and the partly Dutch IZITravel all offer similar ready-made apps on which cultural institutions can share their content with the world.

Great apps, because they are free. We doubt whether they have a future: museums increasingly need to distinguish themselves and to present their unique content in a unique way. What is striking is that the interfaces are all very instrumental and functional, while the experience of a museum and its collection is completely different.

The English V&A put together an interesting list of sources on ' consumer mobile trends '. And the English/American Frankly, Green + Webb presented interesting findings on mobile content for example in multimedia tours, see SlideShare below.
