Microsoft’s main competitor, Sony, is firmly opposed to the acquisition because of the stakes of the Call of Duty franchise, published by Activision, which could in the future be exclusively available on Microsoft’s GamePass. Google is also against it , fearing that its GamePass under the Chrome operating system could deliberately sabotage its GamePass in order to drive sales away from Google’s games.
