Now there are many others, for example, at the Scientific and Technical Center "Constructor" or at educational institutions, for example, a summer school for teachers at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
I would also like to separately note the phenomenon called "Vysotsky Consulting". They realized many years phone number in vietnamese ago that it was worth cooperating with us and that we were interesting to users, and over time they began to release free courses on Renga.
The conversation is already turning out to be very interesting, but maybe you could tell us more about your team and corporate culture?
Our team is quite small, about 50 people. Among them are programmers, analysts, testers, a technical writer and marketers. Internally, the programmers are gathered into teams of several people. They are assigned a tester and an analyst, who can change. The teams themselves are named after Hogwarts faculties, because software development is magic.
The teams practice Agile and demonstrate the results of their work every two weeks. The demonstrated functionality must be fully ready for work at the time of demonstration. However, the release occurs every 1.5 months with reservations for holidays.
Somewhere here, somewhere there. Now many of them are working remotely, some are using a hybrid method of work. At first, of course, we thought that the remote method was not suitable for us at all: because of Agile, Scrum, pair programming, etc. However, then life forced us to run home, and we somehow adapted to this. We actively use corporate chats, video communication, etc. Well, and besides, the entire infrastructure for software development is initially prepared for remote work.
We meet in the office on holidays. Especially on release day. For us, every release is a mini-holiday.
Do you have any special requirements when hiring, like Google or Yandex?
We are very picky, because we have very complex tasks. And the level of requirements for programmers is, accordingly, very high. And in addition to the technical interview, the candidate passes a test for compatibility with the corporate culture. We have open communication built everywhere, and we try to create an environment in which achievements will be valued and in which an employee could receive recognition from colleagues for having done something cool.
In general, I sincerely admire my colleagues, as they produce simply amazing results in a short time.
Finally, let's have a quickie! First question: what would you like to tell your audience?
In any unclear situation, stay calm and make BIM models.
Where exactly does the name Renga come from? A quick search will reveal many possibilities, one of which is: a type of Japanese poetry.
The legend has its roots in one of our top managers, a fan of Japanese culture. Indeed, one of the meanings of the word "renga" is a collective type of Japanese poetry. There is haiku, there is tanka, and there is renga or renga, when several poets compose line after line. The result is a common poetic work. Just like a brick wall. And originally the hieroglyph "renga" means brick.
So all developers are internal and located somewhere in Russia?
