In the previous article “4 ICT tools for e-learning teachers and how to apply them to your distance learning courses” we saw that Canva is one of the most complete and interesting tools for e-learning teaching.
In this new article today we will go into more detail about the types of designs and functionalities that this tool offers and how to use it practically in our e-learning courses.
Canva is precisely one of the tools that I find most complete for teaching. Its ease of use, its visual design and its possibility of sharing creations with other people make it one of my favorite tools to use in the day-to-day of a course. There are many options, but in this post we will focus on some of the most relevant designs.
Canva uses for e-learning
Canva Doc:
Design documents that you can later download in PDF format . You can select a background for your document and insert images, infographics, mind maps, diagrams, calendars, etc., thus iran phone data creating a much more visual document than those you can create with other office programs.
Another option is to combine different templates that will configure our document, among which we can find: covers, indexes, tables of contents, columns, comparison tables, calendars, infographics...
This type of design has also incorporated several new features. Did you know that one of them allows you to convert the designed documents into a slideshow ? With just one click! This saves a lot of time when we want to create an explanatory document to upload to the platform and, at the same time, we want to create a presentation to record ourselves explaining said content. Later we will see that Canva allows us to record ourselves using its recording studio, so it is a very interesting option if we do not want to use other programs.
Continuing with this type of design, we also find a feature called “Magic Writing.” In short, it is a writing assistant powered by artificial intelligence, although in the free version it will be limited to 25 uses. It allows you to generate text from suggestions or from a text you have already prepared.
What can we use this design for in e-learning?
