Over the past 20 years, IED Barcelona has grown in infrastructure, opening a second headquarters in 2020, creating new workshops and spaces to accommodate a greater number of students and fields of study.

The Barcelona campus has become one of the most international of the Istituto Europeo di Design, although it has not lost contact with the local environment. In fact, seeking a close connection with the sociocultural and business environment of Barcelona and Catalonia is key for the school.
