Trouble with mobile

Post by Bappy32 »

This week, Facebook announced its quarterly results. Revenue and profit had grown considerably and the number of members has now passed 1 billion. Facebook is still growing worldwide, especially in Latin America and Africa, but is losing users in important markets such as the United States and England. Other social networks and services are more popular, especially among young people: they spend more time there, exchange more and more files more frequently. The young intensive users are very interesting for advertisers. Enough reason for Facebook to worry.

Although Facebook is not even ten years old and has only been in guatemala mobile phone number list Dutch since 2008, it originated in the PC era. Back then, you logged in neatly on a website and kept track of your contacts and status. Every now and then, you sent a message or photos to your old classmates, good acquaintances, family members (even grandma is on Facebook) and possibly colleagues.

By now, 60% of Facebook users use it almost exclusively on mobile. In the age of the smartphone, everything revolves around 'apps', small mobile applications that you can quickly switch between. Facebook seems to be struggling with that transition. It was quite late in releasing its own app and it is still not very user-friendly.
