IT knows what apps and cloud services employees

A 2014 study by Edge Strategies and sponsored by LogMeIn Inc. found that IT departments vastly underestimate the number of unauthorized applications in use at their companies. It estimated that an average of 2.8 unauthorized applications were present at their companies, but the actual number was even closer to 28.

While being able to access work documents from any device makes life easier for employees while they are working, it can blur the lines between their professional and personal lives, leading to frustration and burnout for employees who feel like they can’t disconnect from work. To minimize risk and accommodate employee needs, many businesses are implementing BYOD policies.
