WCAG 2.1 Websites – What is this Standard?

Post by mstakh.i.mo.mi »

The act only refers to public entities. They are the ones who are required by law to adapt websites to the needs of people with disabilities. Private entities are not required to do so by any statutory provisions.

Does this mean that private entities should not be interested in the WCAG 2.1 website standard? Quite the opposite! It is true that they do not have such an obligation and do not have to fear any legal sanctions, but we should all strive to eliminate barriers in both the real and virtual worlds. If you want your website to be fully accessible to people with disabilities, then familiarize yourself with WCAG 2.1.

The WCAG 2.1 standard is a new version of the earlier WCAG 2.0 standard. The amazon database updates introduced were aimed in particular at improving the accessibility of websites for people with visual impairments, people with cognitive problems, as well as people using mobile devices.

It is worth emphasizing that this standard specifies the minimum requirements for the accessibility of websites for people with disabilities. It is worth striving not only to meet the minimum requirements, but to construct websites so that everyone, regardless of the disabilities they have to deal with on a daily basis, can use Internet resources without any problems.
