What games does a game designer expect in 2025?
I'm waiting for the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It's very interesting to see the development of Henry, who was a pumped-up terminator by the end of the first part. I hope the creators won't follow the path of the second "Gothic" - they won't roll back the character due to amnesia or a serious illness. It's also interesting to see Light No Fire. The fantasy beginning of the game suggests a lot of magic, dragons, different races. As a game designer, I know that the developers have done a lot of work with the logic of biosystems and the physical rules within them. But the game had a limitation - each planet was a self-sufficient biosystem. Therefore, I'm interested in how the logic of combining neighboring biosystems, the laws of flora and fauna within them will work. These two games, in my opinion, will offer a unique immersive experience in which the player's actions are limited by the rules of the real world and imagination. So far, from the available materials about new products, it seems that even an absurd decision will not be punished - the game will adequately perceive any creativity.
