Surely you have heard the widespread myth about the selection of a semantic core based on the principle of "one high-frequency key is used for one landing page". Do not take any hypotheses on faith, be sure to check and evaluate them yourself.

Many resources are ranked in the Top 3 and Top 5 by 200-300 key phrases of varying frequency. Let's use the Serpstat service to see how many key phrases one page of the Wildberries online store is ranked by.

Often, owners of Internet sites try to bring their projects to leading positions for the most effective search phrases of competitors. The point is that they forget to take into account the correspondence of keys to the content. This also includes the presence of certain functional elements, assortment, etc.

Let's say an online store selling men's gloves at retail is promoted using the keyword "men's gloves wholesale" only because a competitor's site is effectively ranked for this phrase (and the competitor sells men's gloves both at retail and wholesale).

Obviously, promotion for such a transactional request will be ineffective, because the specified service is not available on the site. Another example: a web page is optimized for keys with the word "cost", although prices are not indicated on the site. Promotion by keywords will also not yield any results.
