The project, led by the associations La Cabane de la recherche, APPUII and the charity Elancoeur, aims to approach the value creation of charitable associations in working-class neighborhoods in a new way. The accounting expertise survey that made it possible to quantify the value of the association's activity was coupled with another survey, called "ethnoaccounting", which sought to understand what has value for the association's stakeholders.
A double collaborative investigation
In October 2022, the associations La Cabane de la recherche and Elancoeur are jointly launching a collaborative research project. La Cabane de la recherche is an association of afghanistan phone number list researchers from the Mosaïques laboratory at Paris Nanterre University who seek, through a collaborative science approach, to put research " at the service of society ". The charitable association Elancoeur, based in Maurepas, has two weekly food distribution activities that mobilize around forty regular volunteers and around thirty occasional ones, for the benefit of around 200 migrants living in a squat in Seine-Saint-Denis as well as 130 residents of a homeless shelter in Yvelines. The association also ensures the monthly delivery of food parcels to 26 families in difficulty in Yvelines. This associative work represents around 19,000 meals and 300 parcels delivered each year.
This research on the value produced by Elancoeur's activity is called collaborative because, firstly, the object of the research, the method, and the framework of the field survey are co-constructed between La Cabane and Elancoeur. Then, the analyses produced during the survey are disseminated and debated with the association and its stakeholders, in a process of reflexive production of knowledge on the research object. And finally, the research leads to a restitution at the end of the survey , so that the scientific knowledge produced helps above all the respondents to better understand the meaning of their actions.
