Why does gamification work so well?

Post by Bappy11 »

Gamification is the process of making learning or work activities more like games, making them more fun and rewarding. Gamified elements are usually visually appealing and offer points, rewards or prizes for good performance or completing certain tasks.

You might be asking yourself: “What’s the point of this? After all, work is not a game.”

That may be so, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn anything from games and their many mexico telegram data advantages. The Gabler Business Dictionary defines gamification as "the transfer of game-typical elements and processes into non-game contexts with the aim of changing behavior and increasing motivation among users."

The same factors that make games so fun and make us feel good when we win also apply to gamification in the workplace. Every time you hit a new record or unlock an achievement, your brain releases dopamine (a hormone that makes you feel good).

When dopamine is released every time you succeed at a task, your brain associates successes and accomplishments at work with positive feelings.
