The new settings will affect the daily use of the app by young people. But these measures will certainly have (financial) consequences for young TikTok influencers with a possible revenue model on TikTok. In addition, it will become more difficult for young TikTokkers to be 'discovered', if they no longer automatically appear on the For You page and cannot initiate Duet or Stitch videos.

Reading behavior and profiling based on that is considered very sensitive by European supervisors, especially when it concerns personal data of children. It is therefore expected that privacy on TikTok will remain a topic of discussion in the near future.
