Tweeting, liking and pinning is not just for big brands or organizations. Social media also offers opportunities for small entrepreneurs. Some entrepreneurs depend on these free applications, because budgets for (media) campaigns are lacking. Today, in the Infographic Day series, we will look at the role that social media play for small entrepreneurs.

The infographic below was developed by Vertical Response . They conducted research among 400 entrepreneurs, of which more than 90 percent have a maximum of 100 employees. This shows that the majority of entrepreneurs in the SME sector use Facebook. This is followed by Twitter (67 percent), LinkedIn (44.6 percent), Pinterest (34.8 percent) and Google+ (30.6 percent bahrain mobile phone number list More than half of the respondents are on these platforms for less than six hours per week. Social networks are not the only important factor for entrepreneurs in the SME sector. For example, half of the respondents have a corporate blog.

Social media tools
The surveyed entrepreneur indicates that they use their budget efficiently for social media marketing. Compared to 2012, the majority spent the same amount on social media marketing. To manage their social media activities, 55.9 percent of entrepreneurs use a social media management tool, such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck. A group of 39.5 percent choose a paid version.
